Shipping

We take extra effort that your shipments arrive safely. Of course while making every effort to keep your shipping costs as low as possible. There is a per item charge for common carrier delivery within the United States. When available, we package items together for a single shipment passing any savings directly on to you.


Expedited shipping
2nd day and overnight deliveries carry an additional charge, when available. Contact customer service for rates and availability.

Promotional shipping rates
Discounted and free shipping promotions override the individual item shipping cost during the valid promotion period and when applicable.

Additional shipping information
The following applies to all orders with in-stock merchandise:

  • Orders generally ship within 72 hours (Luxury Collection excluded).
  • Fed-Ex or Freight deliveries are not available on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Orders shipped outside of the United States will be subject to additional fees and taxes. These fees and taxes will be due upon receipt and are the responsibility of the customer.

Sales Tax

HomeHardwarePlus collects sales tax for only those orders shipped to California, Florida, New York and North Carolina. We do not charge sales tax on orders shipped to any other location

Delivery Inspection

We make every effort to ensure that your order is picked and processed correctly. We also use extra packaging to ensure that it arrives to you safely.

Do not sign for and/or do not accept receipt of any products that are visibly damaged. If a product appears to be damaged, please refuse delivery of the item and notify our customer service department immediately at: 866-231-1681.

FedEx:
Smaller items are generally shipped via Fed Ex. If you are home when the delivery arrives, please inspect the packages for obvious damage. If a product appears to be damaged, please refuse delivery of the item and notify our customer service department immediately. If the delivery is made when you are not home, then please inspect your order carefully. You should confirm the accuracy of the order and verify that all products have arrived in satisfactory condition. Any claims for damages and/or errors must be made within 48 hours of receipt.

Common Carrier Services:
Larger items such as chandeliers require delivery by private trucking firms (common carriers). These companies will call you in advance to arrange a delivery time. It is very important that you inspect these common carrier deliveries thoroughly before signing for them.
Inspect the boxes for external damage, remove the packaging and inspect the contents for any physical damage in the presence of the delivery driver. If there is any damage, visible or not, you must indicate such on the delivery receipt. If a product appears to be damaged to the point that it cannot be used - do not accept it.

If you discover internal (non-visible) damages after the delivery has been signed for then you need to notify us within 48 hours of receipt.

HomeHardwarePlus cannot accept responsibility for any damaged product once you sign for a delivery, but we will work with you to resolve the claim with the carrier.

At HomeHardwarePlus your satisfaction is our primary goal. Any product that is refused upon delivery will be replaced and/or any errors will be corrected immediately.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order, for any reason, and receive a full refund provided your order has not been shipped. Typically, most orders are shipped the same day they are received. Our customer service desk can inform you of the status of your order and advise you whether or not the order can be cancelled for a full refund. Once an item is shipped the terms of our Returns policy will take effect.

In some cases a custom, special order item may be non-returnable and/or non-cancelable.

Cancellations

No Hassle Return Policy
Any item (non-special order) can be returned within 30 days of receipt without any restocking fees. Some special order items may not be returnable. If a product is returned after the initial 30 day period a 20% restocking fee will be charged. No products will be accepted for return more than 60 days after date of receipt. Shipping charges are not refundable and customer is responsible for any return shipping charges unless otherwise noted. All products must be returned in original packaging and in resalable condition. Please call 866-231-1681 for any questions and to complete the Return Goods Authorization Process. Any items returned without a pre-authorized RGA number will not be credited.

Customers assume responsibility if damaged merchandise is signed for at the time of delivery. All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery; if you suspect damage, please note 'damaged' with your signature or refuse the entire delivery and call us immediately at 866-231-1681. If concealed damages are reported within 48 hours for FED-EX deliveries, we can file a claim on behalf of the customer and work to resolve it. If a customer signs for a common carrier delivery and does not note any damage, then it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the freight company to recoup the damages.

All returns are inspected at our warehouse upon receipt; if the item is determined to have been installed or used in any way, credit will not be given and the product can be returned to you at your cost. Refund for any returned merchandise is processed after inspection and within 30 days of receipt of the returned merchandise.

Installed product cannot be returned for credit (unless product is defective). Special order items cannot be returned once they have shipped.

To return any product, you must obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA). To obtain an RGA and shipping instructions, please call our customer service department at: 866-231-1681. Requests for returns are generally processed within 2-4 days and you will receive shipping instructions along with your RGA via USPS.


Please note: items returned without an RGA will not be credited. When returning products, be sure to use Fedex or other courier service that can provide you with a tracking number for your return.

Coupons cannot be used retroactively and cannot be applied to completed, past or shipped orders.
